Welcome to Tina’s small pet boarding, the perfect place for your guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters and other small pets! Whether you’re going on holidays, a work trip, or simply need a temporary home for your pets, I’ve got you covered. Your pets’ comfort and happiness are important to me.
I’ve put together a gallery of the accommodations. You’ll find measurements and descriptions of each space. Your pets will have plenty of room to play, relax, and explore.

Small Pet Boarding in Scarrington, Nottinghamshire
Guinea Pig & Rabbit Boarding
Guinea Pigs and Rabbits can stay in the hutches inside my barn. They’ll be in the barn overnight and outdoors in runs (weather and spaces permitting) during the day. Bedding, hay and fresh food is provided. Please bring along their regular dry food.
Rat, Hamster & Gerbil Boarding
Rats, hamsters and gerbils etc are very welcome to stay, too. Please bring your own cage/vivarium/habitat. Fresh food is provided where applicable. Please bring along their regular dry food.
Other small pets
I am happy to look after your other small pets such as geckos or tortoises, too. Please bring their own enclosure/vivarium.
Included in your stay
- Fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables

- At least Twice Daily checks and attention
- A variety of toys – tunnels, twigs, cardboard boxes…
- Bedding – for all guinea pigs and rabbits

AccomModation and Facilities
Tina’s Small Pet Boarding has spacious hutches for guinea pigs and rabbits. The hutches are situated in a barn building. During the day, the solid barn doors will be open to allow daylight to enter the building. The solid barn doors will be closed and locked overnight. During the day and in dry, warm conditions, your pets will have access to individual runs upon request. Limited indoor and outdoor runs are available.
All of the hutches are cleaned and disinfected between each arrival/boarder. I will do daily spot cleaning of the hutches as well as a once a week deep-clean.
Your pet(s) will not mix or come into contact with any of the other animals staying at Tina’s small pet boarding. Your bonded pets will be kept together wherever possible.
Bedding in all hutches is provided and I use compostable or washable/reusable bedding only. All used bedding from our herbivores is composted. If you have a preference for your pet’s bedding, please let me know.
IMPORTANT: When boarding our smaller furry friends such as hamsters or gerbils, please bring their cage. This helps to limit the disruption caused to them.
ALL PETS: Please bring their regular dry food (if using) for the duration of their stay.

Guinea Pig Boarding
Guinea pigs stay in hutches inside a secure unheated barn. Bedding and fresh food is provided. Please bring along their regular dry food. The hutches are suitable for up to 3 guinea pigs. Please ensure that they are well-bonded before boarding them together/sharing a hutch.
First guinea pig £6.00 per guinea pig/day, additional guinea pigs £1 per guinea pig/day (sharing the same hutch).
Rabbit Boarding
Rabbits stay in hutches inside a secure unheated barn. Bedding and fresh food is provided. Please bring along their regular dry food. The hutches are suitable for up to 2 rabbits. Please ensure that they are well-bonded before boarding them together/sharing a hutch.
First rabbit £8.00 per rabbit/day, additional rabbits £2 (sharing the same hutch).
Rat, Hamster & Gerbil Boarding
Your rats, hamsters and gerbils are staying inside my home. To keep your pet'(s)’ stay as relaxing and stress-free as possible, please bring your own cage & bedding. If your pet(s) is/are staying for longer than 7 days, I will clean their cage out and replace with fresh bedding. Please make sure you provide spare bedding. Fresh food is provided (where applicable). Please bring along their regular dry food.
Hamsters and Gerbils: £4.00 per day per cage
Rats: £5.00 per day per cage
Tortoise & Gecko Boarding
Your tortoise or gecko are very welcome at Tina’s small pet boarding. Just make sure to bring their enclosure with UV light and heat lamps. Spaces for enclosures are limited and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Like for all other pets, I’ll provide fresh food and water as well as attention.
Prices start from £5.00/day per vivarium.
Small Bird Boarding
Tina’s small pet boarding in Scarrington, Nottinghamshire, welcomes small birds, and owners should bring enclosures, food, drinks, toys, and bedding (where applicable). Limited spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and fresh food, water, and attention will be provided for all pets.
Prices start from £4.00/day.
Parrot Boarding
Tina’s small pet boarding facility located in Scarrington, Nottinghamshire, accommodates medium (Cockatiel-sized) and large (i.e., African Grey) parrots. Owners are kindly requested to bring enclosures, food, beverages, toys, and bedding, if applicable. Please note that space is highly limited, as only one parrot will be accepted at a time, and reservations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Fresh food, water, and dedicated attention will be provided for all pets during their stay.
Prices £8.00/day (medium) £10.00/day (large).
